Mock Branding

As a design exercise, I challenged myself to create advertisements for a fictionalized brands, using Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop. For each design I came up with a brand, logo, and promotional graphic. I chose to invent companies from a variety of different industries, creating unique challenges for each design.

About Me

"The world always seems brighter when you've just made something that wasn't there before." -Neil Gaiman

I am a multidisciplinary artist using resources from the fields of graphic design, photography, painting, and printmaking. Drawing inspiration from fellow artists, travels, cuisine, and the people I love, I hope to add more beauty to the world and shed light on those often overlooked details.

Nestled in the redwoods and overlooking the sea, my art practice blossomed during my time as an undergraduate at the University of California, Santa Cruz. The breathtaking natural landscape inspired my drawing and painting practices, and furthered my existing interest in photography. The summer after my first year, I landed a Production Assistant job at a Hayward print shop called Fresh Made Image. In addition to learning the production of signs and graphics, I was also taught how to design them. I learned a variety of software applications for designing a graphic, was taught to print it on the industrial printer, was educated on the various cutters, was shown how to apply the graphic, and even to use the panel saw and construct my own A-frame when necessary. From the first week my passion was born, my talents for the fabrication process flourished, and my love of the design itself was nurtured. Continuing my education, a couple of years later my photography practice took me abroad for a year in Scotland at Edinburgh College of Art, University of Edinburgh. Although focusing primarily on photography during my studies in Edinburgh, the combination of travel, theory, and a new way of learning deeply influenced me as a photographer and as an artist as a whole. Graduating in the midst of the chaos of 2020, I continued working at Fresh Made Image until eventually moving across the country to Boston, MA. Here in Boston I engage in my various art practices and continue to develop in my career as a designer.
